The Perfect Proposal!

Can you believe it! I had a feeling something was up when I got a delivery on my doorstep Saturday morning. Inside the box on my doorstep was a handpainted Russian doll. My mom had one of these and I used to play with it all the time when I was little. I opened the doll and on the inside was a note telling me to get ready because we were about to head off to Big Sur for the day, and oh by the way, make sure you bring nice dress for dinner.
So we headed to Big Sur.... We stopped along the way at Salmon Creek to check out a really cool waterfall. As we were walking up towards the waterfall, I noticed another Russian doll sitting on a rock in front of us... hmm.... Well this doll had another nice note inside. So as I tried not to think too much about what was going on, we sat and enjoyed the waterfall for a few hours.
Next, it was time to head to the beach at Plaskett Creek. It was a beautiful day, sunny and warm so we decided to walk the beach. (Little did I know Tim was looking for a specific spot, while I thought we were just walking along) So we get to the far South side of the beach and Tim wants to turn around and walk to the North side of the beach. Of course, I complained and said I was hungry and that we should just sit down here and eat.... So he convinced me to walk all the way to the North side of the beach where he pointed to a blanket sitting in the sand. This wasn't any blanket setup either.... Before us sat a dozen roses in in a vase and an assortment of drinks in an ice bucket, the next Russian Doll with another sweet note, and rose petals scattered all over the beach near us. I was really shocked at this, and I know that Tim was really pleased with the work that his sister and friends had done for us.
So... we ate lunch, enjoyed the beach, played some bocce ball, and quite a few hours later he got down on one knee and popped the question. He pulled the next Russian doll out of his pocket and of course the ring was inside! Believe it or not, the day was not over yet. We headed off to Ragged Point to eat dinner. We arrived at the restaurant and our table was the best looking table in the restaurant as the girls had also made a stop by there and placed another dozen roses, rose petals, candles, and the last Russian doll on the table.
Needless to say, the day really was perfect and Tim worked really hard on making sure it was nothing less.
